Raiffeisen Zentralbank Osterreich AG (RZB) was recently awarded the «Best Bank in Austria» title from the esteemed British financial magazine Euromoney for the second year in a row and for the fourth time overall. Euromoney also awarded Raiffeisen with local «best bank» titles for the Albanian and Ukrainian markets.

RZB is the central institution of the Austrian Raiffeisen Banking Group, the largest banking group in the country. Euromoney recognized Raiffeisen Bank Sh.a. as the «Best Bank in Albania» for the sixth time. The bank was acquired by Raiffeisen International in 2004 and is Albania’s largest bank, with a balance-sheet total of ˆ 1.89 billion at the end of the first quarter of 2010. Raiffeisen Bank Sh.a. services almost 593,000 customers in 104 branches.
VAT Raiffeisen Bank Aval, which won Euromoney’s «Best Bank in Ukraine» title for the second year in a row and for the third time in total, had a balance sheet total of ˆ 5.33 billion at the end of the first quarter of 2010, making it the fourth-largest bank in Ukraine. The bank provides products and services to nearly 4.9 million customers through a network of 938 branch outlets.
