Raiffeisenbank was a partner in Russia’s major open air Usadba Jazz festival, which was held June
On Aristocrat, the festival’s main stage, performers from almost every continent played traditional jazz as well as some of the most avant garde and unexpected forms of jazz. Aaron Parks, Borislav Strulev and the SymFusion Orchestra all appeared on this stage.
One of the brightest appearances on the Aristocrat stage was the programme dedicated to Georgy Garanyan; Svyatoslav Belza was the main attraction at Aristocrat.
Valery Sutkin appeared at the festival’s most popular and crowded venue, the Parter, as well as Irina Bogushevskaya and many other performers, while many other young acts appeared at LiveJournal. The large-scale Tribute to Michael Jackson, during which a number of different musicians performed Michael Jackson songs, concluded the festival along with a magnificent fireworks display.
«This wasn’t the first time Raiffeisenbank has been a partner in the Usadba Jazz Festival. The philosophy of our sponsorship policy is to support events connected with musical genres less developed in Russia and lying outside mainstream culture, despite their undisputed artistic value, and which are accordingly most in need of support from the private sector. Jazz is among these genres, and the Usadba Jazz Festival is one of the major festivals in Russia today,» said Pavel Gurin, CEO of Raiffeisenbank.
The festival was held at the Archangelskoye Estate, which was built at the end of the 18th century and belonged to the family of Prince Yusupov. Today the estate museum is a unique architectural monument and park.
