Raiffeisenbank — partner in the H20 documentary film festival about the environment

With the support of Raiffeisenbank, the H20 film festival and forum opened on 27 May. The festival includes films, discussions and events dedicated to the environment and the influence of the modern world on the planets ecosystem. The film festival was presented at the cultural-education centre at the 35 MM cinema from May 27-30, 2010.

As part of the Banks corporate responsibility, we consider it important not only to develop programmes about defending the environment, but support events that call societys attention to the problems of coexistence between modern material culture and the Earths ecosystem, said Pavel Gurin, Raiffeisenbank CEO.

Jointly with the UN Development Programme in Russia and the support of Raiffeisenbank, the H20 Festival shows the best recent films on the topic Ecology and the Environment. Experts and internationally known academics participated in the seminars and discussions. The festival also included a master class by documentary filmmakers and a meeting with creators of films.

The goal of the H20 Festival was to draw attention to problems of the environment and conservation. The festival was created to acquaint people with differing points of view on ecological themes and independent ideas to evaluate what is going on in the modern world.
