From 1 through 30 June 2009 inclusive, Raiffeisenbank will be the title partner for the the third You Are Not Alone! All-Russian Charity Marathon.
The benefit includes a whole range of events aimed at collecting funds to be used in the assistance of disabled children. Like last year, interactive technologies (special rates for calls and text messages) and new events such as auctions, concerts, and shows will be actively used in the marathon. The underlying idea of the project is to give every resident of Russia the unique chance to give help to children in difficult social conditions.
«Raiffeisenbank's activities are based on the understanding of business’s social responsibilities to society. One of the bank's areas of focus in charity work is assistance to handicapped people of all ages. This is why we are supporting the You Are Not Alone! charity marathon for the second year now. The year 2009 is the Year of Equal Opportunities in Moscow. In connection with that, this year our bank’s charity policy in Russia is oriented first and foremost toward the social adaptation problems faced by the disabled,» says Pavel Gurin, Chairman of the Board of ZAO Raiffeisenbank.
The You Are Not Alone! marathon is an example of the unification of charity funds, financial organisations, informational and communications partners, and creative teams for the purpose of solving a common problem. The funds collected during the course of the benefit will be used for the implementation of the UN Children's Fund’s (UNICEF's) assistance programmes for deaf-blind children.
From 1 through 30 June inclusive, Beeline clients who send a text message reading «44 [space] [donation amount]» to the number 8477, or clients of other mobile operators who send a text message reading «CHILDREN» to the number 7712 (text cost: 100.01 roubles) will be making a contribution for the assistance of disabled children.
