With the establishment of arepresentative office in Zhuhai in the booming special zone of Guangdongin the south of China, RZB underlines its position as the leadingAustrian bank in Asia. RZB is the only Austrian bank with operations inChina, also belonging to the small group of international banks with alicence to conduct business in the local currency Renminbi.
Guangdong ranks among the fastest growing regions worldwide with 15 percent GDP growth in 2004. Due to its superior geographic position,Zhuhai, a city of over a million inhabitants, is favoured by manymultinational corporations. RZB with more than 10 years presence in China
RZB, which counts Austria and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) as itshome market, has been present in China for decades.
