It is with deepest sorrow that we have to inform you that Chairman of the Board of Raiffeisenbank, Pavel Gurin, died on September 5. We express our sincere condolence to his relatives and dear ones.
Pavel will forever remain in our souls, hearts and thoughts not only as a bright and outstanding person, as a wise and talented leader, but also as a remarkably tactful, sensitive, honest, gentle and charming man, and a devoted friend.
During 12 years of his career in Raiffeisenbank, Pavel was always an unquestionable leader, regardless of the position he took.
He had devoted himself fully to his work, the Bank always meant a lot for him and was the work of his life. At the same time Pavel was a perfect father and husband, he was the soul of any company, had a real passion for life and could charge everyone with his energy. We will always miss his Noble Soul and Warm Heart.
Pavel leaves behind his wife and daughter. We will forever share their mourning over this irreparable loss.
He joined Raiffeisenbank in 1999 and was the founder of corporate finance and investment banking business. In 2003 he was appointed a Member of the Board, Head of corporate finance and investment banking department. In 2006 he moved on to become Deputy Chairman of the Board and Head of corporate banking and corporate finance directorate. On 30 September 2008, Pavel Gurin was officially promoted to the position of Chairman of the Board of ZAO Raiffeisenbank.
His successor will be soon selected by the Supervisory Board of the Bank.
